Hirup the moloch gibbon

Please say hello to Hirup!

I made this crochet gibbon as a leaving present for a friend who is primate mad! I was working as a primate intern at a wildlife park at the time, and he is based on her favourite little guy.

I used an inside-out loop technique to make his fur, though after cutting all the loops I added in additional fur to make him even fluffier. I hope to add a tutorial on how you can make your own Hirup in the near future.

If you want to know more about moloch/Javan gibbons please click here and here. They are fantastic animals that are worthy of further time in the lime light and are in dire need of protection and further conservation. I hope you find them as interesting as I do!
